I have been trying to install miniSAP on my linux mint 19.1 Tessa OS but have run into an IP address conflict.The IP address i get from running ifconfig on Linux is 192.168.1.8 whereas the IP address on my host MacBook is 192.168.1.6.
I am using a bridged network adapter.

They are different: …8 for the Gnu/Linux and …6 for the Mac. Where do you think there is a conflict?

I tried adding the IP for linux in /etc/hosts in order to be able to install SAP GUI but i kept getting an error message asking me to check my configuration and hostname selection.
