I'd love to learn To code. Stanford offers the Course | Programming Methodology I want to follow, but I don't get Karel the Robot to work on Linux.
I followed the instructions in these YouTube video

and get just a blank program

@Bandoler ,then you should probably ask for support on Starford University. If this software is modified by them, they should also be able to provide you support. Is not that we don't want to help, but if this software has some kind of limitation or arcane/uncommon modification, reaching out the "official" support channels could be your best option here...

OK, i got it work...
The Assignment1.zip is a old file, I found the latest version here: Stanford.edu. I also installed the Eclipse Stanford PlugIn Stanford Menu
